The Arlington, TX office focuses on Engineering and Project Management in oil & gas industry. We do detail engineering for Midstream companies on Pipelines, Pumps, Compressor & Meter Stations, Tank Farms, Gas Plants, and Dehydration Units.

 

Job Title: Civil Structural Engineer – The Civil Structural Engineer (CSE) will work under the general direction, applying their skills and expertise to generate solutions that require development or sustainment of new or improved techniques, procedures or products. The CSE will provide input to concrete, steel design, foundations, spec materials, piping rack, meter skids, scope of work and more for the midstream and downstream stctor. The CSE will work with wider team to meet project objectives in a timely, cost effective manner.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Coordinate engineering/design execution, planning and interface and ensure that activities are completed on schedule and within budget for natural gas onshore pipeline and related midstream facilities.

  • Prepare project execution and quality plans, project plans of works, initiate safety review and initial environmental review and project controls system

  • Coordinate with project and other discipline engineers and ensure consistency in execution of project management activities.

  • Organize and conduct project meetings and technical progress review.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Professional engineer (P.E.) licensed in the State of Texas

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Gas and Oil industry

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of structural codes including but not limited to ASCE7, ACI 318 and AISC 360

  • Extensive experience in analysis and design of steel and concrete structures, shallow and deep foundations, pipe racks and elevated structures for heavy and large equipment using structural computer programs.

  • Experience in using SAP, SAFE and L-Pile structural programs

  • Proven experience in grading and drainage design as well as design of gravel and paved roads, producing professional sealed drawings.

  • Willing to travel to project site to collect field data or conduct field inspection.
